Beckett Bridge Over The River Liffey, Dublin, Ireland

Beckett Bridge Dublin Ireland Wall Poster Calendar 2011

This beautiful bridge in Dublin, named after the famous Irish writer Samuel Beckett, connects Dublin Docklands to the North of the City across the River Liffey.

The photograph, taken from the north side shows the bridge with a brightly painted white curved spine rising from the south side, suspension cables running along its length in a shape reminiscent of a harp.

The bridge was designed by the Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava, built in Holland, and shipped as a prefabricated structure by sea from Rotterdam to Dublin in 2009.

Ring in the New Year with this bridge as a wall poster calendar for 2011.

Irish themes also appear in this set of articles helpful to travelers and tourists in a hurry.
