President Barack Obama To Visit Moneygall, Co. Offaly Ireland

A small Irish village is getting ready for an official visit from the most powerful man in the world. President Barack Obama will be stepping out of his helicopter (presumably) onto the village football field in May 2011 when he visits Moneygall in County Offaly, Ireland, from where his great-great-great grandfather emigrated to the US in 1850.

Moneygall, population 299, lies on the main Dublin to Limerick road in County Offaly. Barack Obama's visit will certainly put Moneygall and Co. Offaly on the map and promote Irish tourism, as American presidential visits to Ireland are extremely rare occurrences.

Here we celebrate with a few souvenir gifts from our Zazzle store, so if you are Irish or American, or both, there may be something to remember the visit by.

Many of the products are customizable so you could customize, re-brand, buy in bulk with discount, and re-sell for your group or community's cause, either in America or Ireland.
